Practice Description

Ms. Cantu started her legal career as an Assistant Potter County Attorney handling Child Protective Services cases in the Civil Division. In 1999, Ms. Cantu became an associate at the Underwood Law Firm in Amarillo, Texas. Her practice included primarily Family Law cases. While there Ms. Cantu served on the Board of Directors of various organizations, including AAYLA (Amarillo Area Young Lawyer's Association), CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), the BRIDGE Children's Advocacy Center, the Amarillo Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, and was a participant in Leadership Amarillo. She has also served as the Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Texas Panhandle and as a HOST mentor.

In 2004, Ms. Cantu applied her passion for advocacy for children to the classroom as a teacher. She taught bilingual elementary education until joining the law firm of Brim, Arnett, Robinett & Conners, P.C. where she draws upon her legal experience as well as experience as a classroom teacher to represent school employees throughout the state of Texas in personnel matters at administrative levels and in litigation.
